• Housing Application is due. The link to the housing application will come via e-mail when you receive your student ID and MSM e-mail.
• Freshmen, Transfer Freshmen, Sophomores and Transfer Sophomores are required to live on campus.

May 15, 2024

This is the last day to complete and submit your SEVIS I-20 Application in your Admission portal.

• The SEVIS I-20 Application will be available by April 1st.

June 1, 2024

Deadline to confirm financial aid award through MSM Student Portal (NetPartner).

• If this applies to you, you will receive instructions by email.

June 9-20, 2024

Required MSM placement exams take place online via Canvas and Zoom.

July 1, 2024

1. Deadline to submit your MSM Immunization History form.

• Have your doctor’s office fax or email your completed, signed, stamped form with cover sheet to +1 917-493-4436 or admission@bc178.cc.
• OR you can mail the original form to: Admissions Office, Manhattan School of Music, 130 Claremont Avenue, New York, NY 10027.

2.  Deadline to submit official transcripts, and proof of degree or diploma

• Ask your previous school to send us your final transcripts and proof of degree or diploma. Official documents can be sent by your school electronically through an official transcript service following your date of graduation, by email to admission@bc178.cc from an official administrative school email address, or through postal mail in unopened envelopes, sealed by the issuing institution. Final, official transcripts and proof of degree or diploma must be sent directly to MSM by the issuing institution.
• While electronic submissions are preferred, academic documents can be mailed to: Admissions Office, Manhattan School of Music, 130 Claremont Avenue, New York, NY 10027
• ONLY if asked by the Office of Admission or the Registrar, students may obtain a transcript evaluation using SpanTran evaluation request service. (Please do NOT complete this step unless asked, as it is not required for all students.)

Please pay your tuition by this date, or sign up for a payment plan. You will receive an email from Student Accounts in July, with instructions of how to download your invoice and make your payment.

All international students on an F-1 student visa and all students participating in the Exchange with MSM Partner institutions are required to enroll in the MSM health insurance plan.

August 14, 2024

• Deadline to sign up for Orientation week events you’re interested in. The calendar of events for orientation will be shared with incoming students in late July.

Before you can schedule a visa interview, you will first need to submit your SEVIS Form I-20 application. If it is approved, International Student Services will send your SEVIS Form I-20 to you, along with instructions to schedule and prepare for your visa interview.

The application process for the SEVIS Form I-20 and F-1 Student Visa can take several weeks, so it is extremely important for students to be prepared and plan ahead. The deadline to complete the Student Visa Interview is June 7, 2024.

NOTE: Students must be formally admitted before the SEVIS Form I-20 document can be issued. Students that are conditionally admitted cannot receive a SEVIS Form I-20 until they have completed their files with the Office of Admission and have been formally admitted.

In  late July, we’ll be sharing information about the App you can download with full orientation calendar of events. Your deadline to sign up for the events is August 14, 2024.

Required placement exams will take place online via Canvas and Zoom June 9-20, 2024

Placement exams are used to determine the level of each student’s abilities in music history, music theory, aural skills and other subjects related to specific majors. A new student can place out of remedial courses and/or required courses by excelling in these exams. Placing out of a course will allow greater flexibility in their coursework. An email will be sent to all new incoming students with detailed information by mid-May. Please be sure to check your MSM email.
